It's getting late...

and once again, I can't sleep. It's been a rough week for me. No specific reason, exactly, but I've just been in a funk all week. Not just an "Ugh, I'm annoyed and frustrated" type of funk, but the grey cloud over your head, no energy, no motivation to really even move type of funk. I Dunno where it's come from, but it's really had me down this week. Maybe it's just a 'female thing', maybe not. Who knows. All I know is, I'm ready for it to be gone. I can't sleep well at all either, which is REALLY irritating. The oddest thing was several nights ago. Mark's alarm clock woke me up (as usual) at 4:30 in the morning, but...I wasn't in the bed. Apparently, I have joined the sleepwalkers club. I was standing halfway across the bedroom, just staring at the bed. I don't know where I thought I was going to, or coming from, but it was really weird. That was a first for me! The real kicker this week has been the fact that I got up Thursday morning with a migrane, and it is now early Saturday morning and it still won't go away. UGH!!! Of course, now that I put the pieces together, no wonder I'm in a funk!

The many faces of Shelby Jo

This is what happens when you teach a 5 year old how to use your digital camera while on a 3 hour car trip.......

(I really like the 4th one)

Since I'm bored and my computer is working ...

I guess I'll go ahead and post the rest of the pictures I just uploaded. This summer has been boring and busy all at the same time. There have been a few bright spots, but not all of them were caught on camera. Sorry about that. I keep forgetting to take pictures of stuff as it's happening. Heres what I did catch...

Sadie really, really, really wants a hot dog.....

Maggie wants to kill her new toy........

Cassie wants to hide from Maggie......

And Mister has decided he wants to be a star on TV...

These are the only pictures I took on our trip to Tybee...

Mom and Dad showing Mark, Grace, and myself around their rental house.

Grace is beginning to understand why I am the way I am.

Mark, pre-sickness and pre-emergency room...Contrary to the look on his face, he's feeling fabulous, compared to how he will be feeling 24 hours from when this picture was taken.

Crazy busy with boring things

Ok...here are the rest of the pictures from the Smokies trip. Sorry it took so long...

prettiness in Cades Cove

Hmmmm...honey, do you see anything on the map about a giant black bird? Cause there seems to be one.......
right there!!I personally love how his mouth is open and he seems to be strutting, almost as if hes singing and dancing...."I'm such a pretty bird, pretty bird, pretty bird. Look at me, I'm a pretty bird!"

hmmm, just a bit windy up on the mountain.

I'm quite proud of these 2 shots, and Mark for taking them!

Update

Heres an update on whats been going on with my little family since I posted last time. The good news...There are pictures!!!

I did my first Actual wedding cake several weeks ago, for a couple at church. This is a beginning shot...

Back off Ladies!! That handsome man is my hubby!! Bless his heart, he helped me hand-dip dozens of truffles to top off the wedding cake. Many a womans dream...A cute, sweet man...with CHOCOLATE!!!!! Yay!

The final product, set up at the reception.....

I am SO proud of this cake!!!!!

The remains of the cake halfway through the reception. Never before have I seen a cake demolished like this one!!!

On our way to Tennessee to get Mark's new bicycle...

"I got a new bicycle, I got a new bicycle!!!"

"Please stop taking my picture! how many pictures of me driving do you need?"

Maggie May, in her birthday bandanna, on her way to stay with Cassie and Granny (Mark's Mom) while we do a bicycle ride in Hartwell, GA.

"Make the cold air come out FASTER!!!"

I love this shot...notice we are on the wrong side of the road, on the other side of the double yellow line!

On our way to drop Maggie back off at her Granny's house so we can go to Gatlinburg, Tennessee! Mark was so excited, he had us leave at 5 am!

So thrilled to be in the mountains, even being stuck in stand-still traffic in the park doesn't even upset him!

At Newfound Gap...

On our way to Clingman's Dome...

At Clingman's Dome. All the dead trees are fir trees. There is an aphid killing all of the Frasier Firs in the Smokies.
